Since COVID has struck, many engaged couples have become overwhelmed by the unknown and ever-changing guidelines. Many have decided to reduce the size of their weddings – this is called a micro wedding, and believe it or not, it is the new trend!
DEFINITION: A micro wedding is a small-scale affair that typically has a guest count of 60 or less (or the current guideline), and focuses on honoring the traditions of the couple, just on a smaller scale.
Micro weddings also allow for couples to splurge on more, such as decor or those rustic farm chairs you have your eyes on! If you’re planning a wedding during these new times, don’t forget about your dream wedding. The point is not to reduce the excitement, but the guest list! It’s all about love.
The first steps of planning a micro wedding:
Figure out the number of guests you’re comfortable with.
Reduce your guest list to this number, or create a new one!
Don’t sacrifice the chance to celebrate your love!
Pick a venue – this could be your backyard, the family farm, or your favorite outdoor spot!
Put together a vision board that matches your vibe, color schemes, and desires of your dream wedding.
