Labor Day weekend in Ludlow means FESTA!
The Our Lady of Fatima FESTA is a longstanding, massive Portuguese celebration that has taken place every Labor Day weekend since 1949. The five-day festival includes authentic Portuguese food, live music, carnival rides, fireworks, and the traditional candlelight procession.
It’s a huge community event and a fun way to close out summer while getting an early start on fall festival season!
2. GreekFest Somerville

GreekFest brings the flavors, music, and spirit of Greece right to Somerville for three days of authentic Greek food, live music, folk dancing, and warm hospitality. More than 10,000 visitors attend the festival, and it’s held rain or shine under the big tent.
Your visit also supports a good cause. Festival proceeds help support Dormition Church and its community ministries, including local warming centers, foster children, community refrigerators, and other programs.

3. Team Haverhill River Ruckus (92.5 The River)

River Ruckus is one of Haverhill’s favorite end-of-summer traditions, bringing the community downtown for a full day along the Merrimack River.
The festival includes live music from 92.5 The River, a classic car show, Kids Zone, local food, a beer and wine garden, demonstrations, art and history programming, and plenty happening throughout downtown.
Then stick around until the end—the day wraps up with a huge fireworks display over the Merrimack River!
4. Friendship Home’s River Rock Music Festival

Friendship Home’s River Rock Music Festival returns to beautiful Weir River Farm for an afternoon of live music, local food, sweets, beer, wine, cocktails, and family fun.
Bring a blanket or lawn chair and settle in for the afternoon. There’s free parking onsite, and the festival happens rain or shine.
Even better, the event supports Friendship Home and its work serving individuals with developmental disabilities and their families.
5. Oak & Iron OAKTOBERFEST

PROST! OAKTOBERFEST is back in Andover for a full day of beer, brats, live music, games, and Oktoberfest traditions.
Tickets for guests 21+ include two 16-ounce Oak & Iron beers, an OAKTOBERFEST meal, and a full day of entertainment. The schedule includes a Bavarian band, pumpkin painting, trivia, the ceremonial tapping of the first keg, the U.S. Stein Holding Competition, and live music into the evening.
The event is also all-ages and family-friendly, so bring the whole crew!

The Boston Local Food Festival brings nearly 100 food vendors to the Rose Kennedy Greenway for a full day celebrating New England’s food scene. Expect local farms, restaurants, food trucks, seafood, international flavors, desserts, chef demonstrations, a Seafood Throwdown, and family activities.
The best part? It’s completely free to attend, so you can wander the Greenway and spend your money on the important part—the food!
This event is especially special to us because Baystate Tent has been part of it for years. We’re proud to help create the tented spaces that allow vendors, chefs, and thousands of visitors to come together in the heart of Boston.
